Tarifa is the southern-tip-of-Spain where the Mediterranean and the Atlantic meet, gives it a different climate and character to the rest of Andalucía. Stiff Atlantic winds and beautiful beaches draw in surfers, windsurfers and kitesurfers who, in turn, lend this ancient yet deceptively small settlement a refreshingly laid-back international vibe. Stop at Mirado El Estrecho where you have beautiful views on the Morrocan coast. Perfect day trip . We always have lunch at Hotel Dos Mares they have a lovely beach restaurant. To be combined with the lovely Vejer de le Frontera village, one of our favourite ones !

Set on an Andalusian mountain plateau, the town of Ronda is just over an hour – and a whole world away – from Marbella. This pueblo blanco has one of the most beautiful settings around, perched precariously on the edge of a gorge surrounded by rolling hills, whitewashed buildings, orange trees and olive groves.

Malaga is a very nice city with more history, culture and great food than many cities put together. Don't miss the Alcazaba, the Picasso museum, roman theatre, castillo de Gibralfaro, Pompidou center and la Inglesia de Incarnacion?

Sightseeing

The Old Town is worth a visit . Get lost in the cozy streets of white houses, with flower pots hanging from the walls and enjoy the vast amount of trees and plants that cover the city. Head to Plaza de los Naranjos (a Castillan square from the 15th century) for a true orange tree wonderland with many coffee places and restaurants in the center of the Old Town of Marbella! You can also have a coffee or hot chocolate with CHURROS , the local pastry spanish people have for breakfast :-). Gorgeous and well maintained, the City Center (casco antiguo) is best to be visited in the early mornings, when the city just starts waking up if you're in Marbella during the summer period.

Puerto Banus is Marbella's famous marina . It has luxury yachts, ships, fancy cocktail bars and great night life. A vast amount of brilliant designer shops and boutiques, restaurants and bars. Even if yachts are not your deal, walk around the port and have something to eat is always fun.

Beach and kitesurfs

Beautiful beach passed Tarifa where you could spend a day or a couple of hours. If you like winds and unspoiled beaches, this one is perfect! Nice soft sand beach with great bars and a lot of kite surfing activity. Also great beach for kids - waves break at the right point to be enjoyable but not dangerous. This is an amazing beach especially in summer. It stretches for miles with plenty of sports activities taking place. You can hire wind surfing equipment at this location, as well as kitesurf lessons or just walk, chill, watch the kite surfers and enjoy.
