Great place for brunch or ANY time. They do a great deconstructed Bloody Mary and their food is always plentiful and yummy. Downside.. the service can be a bit relaxed (aka slow) but if you are not in a hurry and want a nice pour on your cocktail and some yummy food, this is the place.

A great place to bring your dog, sit outside and have a classic burger, fries and milk shake. ps.. my dog learned how to be a city dog just for the reward of a few French fries while I enjoyed my milk shake and people watched.

Minority owned, small business, food trucks in all the best ways. Food is yummy and there is a veggie dedicated truck and even a cocktail truck. DJ on the weekend evenings and a fun, drop-by vibe. Grab a picnic table and sit back and enjoy the best of city life.

DONT miss this bakery! Ok.. I know you have heard of that often talked about cupcake place in Georgetown, but... I would encourage you to not wait with the crowd there, but go to Levain Bakery. To be fair, I dont think they do cupcakes, but I am a die hard lover of chocolate chip cookies and Levain is now my hands-down-favorite! Love love love their cookies! (ps.. didnt love their cinnamon danish). Dont be afraid of the crowd.. somehow they dont have any guidance for the line so it always seems to be a bit haphazard who is waiting to order and who is just deciding. Or just sit at the bar and have some food and a drink. I like this place best on the waterfront for just that reason.. a little food, a little drink, and a great view of the water.

The BEST way to travel from Georgetown Waterfront to the Wharf, Old Town Alexandria and National Harbor. Make a reservation online and stroll the short distance to the Georgetown Waterfront and hop on. Stongly suggest that at least one of your water taxi trips take place as late in the afternoon/early evening as you can so you can have a sunset cruise! You can take the water taxi one way to dinner (at around sunset) and take an uber home afterward.

Get to know the city by leaving your car behind (or parked someplace safe) and just walk to your adventures. Parking is challenging in Georgetown and lots are expensive. Better to find a place for your car and walk, bike (rent them everywhere) or scooter (rent them everywhere too) and explore.
