Katahdin Iron Works State Historic Site
Ki RoadA registered landmark in the state, also known as the grand canyon of the east, the Gulf features a gorge which drops 500 feet producing rapids and four different waterfalls. The most striking is Billings Falls with three "bridal veils" descending into a semicircular pool below. Just under nine miles of hiking trails, the entire loop takes 6 to 8 hours to complete.

A short trail leading to the 1963 crash site of a B52 bomber during training manuevers. All but 2 crew members perished. The town of Greenville has preserved the site and wreckage in honor of the men aboard. Accessible in the winter months by snowmobile.
