Most people come to Tahoe to ski but we love it in the summer. A number of state parks have low crowds and a small parking fee. Play in the water (its cold) and take in the beautiful scenery. A bike path around the lake is a nice way to spend the day. Mount Rose/Incline Village is the closet point. South Lake Tahoe is the furthest way and most touristy.
