Well worth a visit for some retail therapy, a nice lunch and the opportunity to look round a stunning Victorian Spa town. The architecture is fabulous and only a 50 minute drive away, taking in some stunning Yorkshire countryside along the way.

For road cyclists the Tour de France (Yorkshire) route came right through Middleham on its way to the finish in Harrogate, perhaps you might like to cycle some of the route or try the whole Tour de France 2014 Grand Depart Leeds to Harrogate route! Equally for mountain bikers there are numerous rides available in the local vicinity but for some advice on where to go based on your ability or just to hire a bike head to Dales Bike Centre in Fremington.
