It's a botanical garden/forest/park. It's a great place to get lost. Not a long bike ride from the city center. Bring a blanket and a picnic basket. Not a lot of people go there or know about the place, so it's a perfect place to spend a few hours in beautiful nature.

The botanical garden is also another "iconic" Aarhus spot. In the summer you will find crowds of students hanging out drinking beer, playing games, and bbqing. it's very close to the apartment, and a good stop on your way to downtown if you are walking.

The best views of the south side of Aarhus bay. Rent a city bike and drive out there. Also a good place to spot seals and Harbour porpoise basking around. This is the best kept secret of Aarhus!

The walk to Bellevue through the forest is really wonderful. It's tricky to find the way to the beach, so leave plenty of time for detours. Fantastic views of the bay from the forest once you reach the downhill walk to the beach. If you get up early, go to watch the sunrise.

It's an old street, which has been kept "as is" for a few 100 years. It's a good way to see what Aarhus looked like in the 1700-1800's. It's extremely idyllic and cute. Mind you: people still live there, so don't stare inside the windows.
