The most urban beach in Lourinhã. Little bars, cafés, and restaurants. There is a small public library (summer only). A wooden bridge and 0,5km path connect it to the beach to the south: Praia do Areal. From here you can continue on the bicycle lane 2,8 km to Lourinhã

The location is wrong on the map, of course! It's a great beach and if you don´t mind the walk you can also use it to reach another beach just to the north: Praia do Zimbral (it is inaccessible by car)

Lourinhã is a Jurassic hotspot! Although the main paleontology exhibition has been moved to the Dinosaur Park, there is still plenty to see here. The gift shop has a good assortment of dinosaur-related items. My personal favorites are copies of incredible artwork submitted to the museum's scientific illustration contest.
