Dating back to the 19th century, Portobello is one of London’s oldest markets and it provide the setting for the 1999 movie Notting Hill starring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts.
Notting Hill, Portobello Road Market’s nearest Tube station is Ladbrooke Grove on the Hammersmith and City line. Notting Hill Gate Tube station is a 20-minute walk from the market, and is on the Central, Circle and District lines.
