This is a great museum for all ages, Learn the natural history of the area as well as history related to the Manhattan Project. Definitely a must see!

This is not a tour for those who get bored easily. The tour is 4 hours long and includes a 45-minute bus ride to and from the reactor. That being said, if you want to know a lot about the Hanford site, this is a great tour. Hanford Engineer Works was established in 1943 and was home to the B Reactor, the first full-scale plutonium production facility in the world - the forge that produced the nuclear bomb detonated at Trinity and the bomb detonated over Nagasaki. Tours are free but registration is required.
