Drinks & Nightlife

The architecture of the building is striking alone and has won a national design award. But the Flying Squirrel is also our favorite spot for food. It's hard to find food in Chattanooga that isn't southern or new American, but the Squirrel has a wide variety of hits (try the fried rice, garlic fries, and Salmon roll)! They also make some of the best drinks in town and have an impressive beer list.

A local favorite with a small but good beer list in an unassuming building. Little known among visitors to Chattanooga, but beloved among locals.

If you want to catch a game and enjoy a casual vibe Clyde's might be a good choice. It gets crowded on the weekends, but if you don't mind standing in line or paying a cover, then it's a good spot to kick back.

Food Scene

The Meeting Place is the little sister of the much fancier St. John's Restaurant. It's cozy and has well-made cocktails and a small, but well-curated menu.

Our favorite restaurant in town! Affordable, accessible Italian food in a modern, comfortable environment. They also offer up arguably the best pizza in town. Can't go wrong here.

Authentic Mexican in a little building a bit off the beaten path. A favorite among locals and for good reason. If you don't mind the sometimes variable hours of operation (they seem to open and close on a whim), it's a good go to for Mexican food.

A seriously underestimated spot serving up El Salvadorian food in a no-frills environment. You get a great deal for what you pay, and we haven't found an item we haven't liked.

Niedlov's is a local favorite that is a little less crowded that the trendier Mean Mug on the other side of Main. They make their bread in pastries in house, but they also have a really good selection of salads and sandwiches for lunch.
