The 6.5 mile Kennebec River Rail Trail welcomes locals and visitors alike for walking, running, cycling, skateboarding, rollerblading, and dog walking. The trail parallels the existing rail bed along the Kennebec River, and stretches from Augusta Maine’s Waterfront Park, through the towns of Hallowell and Farmingdale, to its conclusion in the city of Gardiner.

54th Annual FALL FOLIAGE FESTIVAL | OCT 8-9 2022
The Fall Foliage Festival has been a family tradition in Mid Coast Maine for the past 53 years, featuring dozens of vendor booths, fabulous entertainment and live music, delicious Fall foods, live artist exhibits and a children’s corner.
The festival setting is an authentic Vintage Village featuring a 4- acre green surrounded by historic Maine buildings that are open for exploring. Guests can also enjoy the antique car museum, model railroad and village goats. It is certainly a vintage experience.
Fall Foliage Festival is a local partnership between the Village and the Boothbay Region Information Center. The long-running event is a crowd favorite, with many getting a jump on early Christmas shopping. The air is crisp, the leaves are changing, and fun is in the air.
