E. Davis Street is a wonderful, historic street filled with restaurants including a classic diner, antique shops, a toy store, bakeries, the LOVE sign and more. It is an easy 15-minute stroll from West Park Gardens and there is parking on and near E. Davis Street if the walk is too much. Concerts and festivals downtown during spring, summer and fall. Great view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and great Christmas decorations through New Year's. Something for everyone.

Great view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and great Christmas decorations through New Year's. Something for everyone.

Every summer the Packard Campus hosts the Mostly Lost identification workshop for silent films. Unidentified or misidentified silent films and film clips are screened for registered attendees, who collectively attempt to identify the unknown works. The films screened are not only from the Library of Congress's collections, but also from other participating film archives, which have included the George Eastman House, the UCLA Film & Television Archive, the EYE Film Institute of the Netherlands, the University of Southern California's Hugh M.
