I recommend wearing yak traks, which you can rent at the New Moon Bar on the way to the Caves, or order on Amazon before your trip. The Ice Caves are beautiful, but can be dangerous. I also would not bring very young children/infants.

This a beautiful waterfall off of M94, on the way to Chatham or Munising. Lots of stairs, but worth it!

There is a nice park in Trenary. Playground equipment for kids, and horseshoes. This is right by a creek.
