This is a nice museum, if you like the history of Dutch television. It is good for children; a lot of fun. It is a walking distance from our home, but if you don't like to walk too much, you can take one stop with the train, to Hilversum-mediapark.

Shopping
Every wednesday and saturday till 16.00hrs, there is a big market very near our house (the other side of the railway). You can buy good quality vegetables, fish or cheese for a good price. If you like to buy cheese to bring home, skip the expensive shops in Amsterdam, go to 'Pronkjuweel', it is much better and a good price. If you tell them you want to bring the cheese home with you (for travel) they can vacuum it for you.
For the best fish, you have to go to 'P.Bond en zonen'. Nice to combine with a cup of coffee in 'Mout'.

You can buy good quality vegetables, fish or cheese for a good price. If you like to buy cheese to bring home, skip the expensive shops in Amsterdam, go to 'Pronkjuweel', it is much better and a good price. If you like chocolate ( I do) the best shop to go is Chocolatl. Here is an english speaking guy who knows everything about local and international good quality chocolate. Before you buy one bar, you can taste.. he even sells the whole chocolate-fruit!

The name of the shop is 'Utopia'. This little shop is a good place if you want to buy some presents for your family. Not really typical Dutch, but nice little things. The owner is very nice and she will help you where she can. There is no sign on the window, so make sure you remember the address.

This is our favorite place to have lunch, drink coffee, do some shopping and walk around. It is a farm, just outside of Hilversum, where they also run a little supermarket (organic) and lunch-restaurant.
