A personal favourite for a chilled vibe to have a craft beer (or anything else you desire) while enjoying the views of the boats in the marina and the rainforest mountains. Food is always spot on too!

Neighbourhoods

Port Douglas is a tropical paradise.....we may be a little biased, but it's true! The laidback tropical town of Port Douglas, is around an hour's drive north of Cairns along an easy drive coastal road, and is the gateway to two UNESCO World Heritage-listed natural wonders, the Great Barrier Reef and the expanses of the Daintree Rainforest. People are friendly....and why wouldn't they be, they're either on holiday or they live here in a relaxed vibe lifestyle.

Situated just 15km off the coast of Port Douglas, Low Isles is the ideal spot for an inner reef snorkelling adventure. In case you're worried about crocodiles......crocodiles occasionally visit Low Isles. When that happens, a special sign is placed on the beach so that boats know to stay away. It remains for seven days after the last sighting. We suggest checking out Wavedancer for a Low Isles tour.

Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is an iconic experience that takes guests over and through the World Heritage listed Wet Tropics Rainforest, home to the oldest continually surviving tropical rainforest on Earth. This takes you from Cairns to Kuranda. You can choose to cableway it up and train it down, or vice versa! Our recommendation is to take the train up and the cableway down to reduce wait times on your return leg of the adventure.

Depending on the time of year, it pays to book restaurants. Some restaurants will take 'walk ins' if a small group of 4 or less, or if you don't mind dining earlier. Best advice is to book ahead to save disappointment when you arrive.
