One of my favourite places. Tree-lined beach. Catch a coffee from the food truck (seasonal). Or take a picnic, plenty good spots with picnic tables or seats to enjoy the view of the beach back to Findhorn or Burghead.

We enjoy a regular visit here. Set in the Findhorn valley with walks along the river (take care though, pretty high up above river). Range of shops with enthusiastic independent retailers and craftspeople. Cafe.

Good food and relaxed atmosphere. Be prepared to wait for a table as can only book large groups. Let the bar know you are happy to wait and they will arrange a table for you as soon as they can. Entrance round the side not door at front.

Relaxed friendly hub, with live music some evenings in the summer. We often go here for our breakfast, grab a window seat for a fantastic view of the bay. Extensive all day menu. Ice cream and take away fish and chips. The marina also provides trips out on rib out to the Moray Firth or a water taxi across to the Culbin sands.

I have visited this tavern since my Grandparents lived in Cawdor and that was a while ago! Still well worth a visit for food. Cawdor is a beautiful tiny village. Maybe visit the castle in the afternoon and have your tea at the tavern before heading home to Findhorn.
