Take the boat through the fjord of Oslo to get to this little island. I love spending a few hours here on a sunny summer's day. You can grab a bite to eat at Gressholmen Kro og pick up one of their sandwiches or some shrimps to enjoy at the beach!

The top of Vettakollen has one of the nicest views of the city of Oslo. I recommend taking the metro to Sognsvann and make it a loop. You'll pass Båntjern both on your way to and from Vettakollen, it's a beautiful lake that's perfect to take a dip in on a warm day.
