Lapine state park is practically right in our back yard, with private access from our neighborhood. It’s trails follow secluded parts of the deschutes river and are surrounded by beautiful pine trees and central Oregon’s wildlife. Some of our favorite activities here include floating the river and walking the trails in the summer and snow shoeing and cross country skiing in the winter.

Paulina mountain is just minutes from our guest suit and offers multiple must see locations. From rivers at the base of the mountain to the scenic views at the top, you will find multiple waterfalls, walking/biking trails, hot springs, and lakes. At the SHARC in Sunriver, you will find indoor/outdoor pools and water parks, a 9 hole disc golf, a basketball court, tennis courts, pickleball courts, swimming lessons, and the public Paulina Park, which has its own playground, rock climbing wall, bocce ball court, picnic tables, and restrooms. Along with the many activities they also host events through the year. In the summer you can enjoy wine festivals, pool parties, summer concerts and movie night. I the winter you can participate in a snow tubing hill and heated indoor aquatics.

Sun Country Tours offers guided whitewater rafting trips, paddle boarding, and tube rentals. In the winter there is the obvious snowboarding and skiing options but if you are looking for something a little more family friendly or low key there is much more to discover. Try a unique experience by riding with the sled dogs, or bring your family to slide at the tubing park. For a more quiet experience check out the snowshoe tour or take out a snow “fat” bike to the many bike specific groomed trails.

Being only ten minutes away Legend Cider is a great place for a quick bite and brew. We love Legend cider for its appeal to our many different groups of guests that visit. With a fun atmosphere and spacious both inside and outside, it’s a great place for families or for singles.
