Food Scene

BEST Euro-style bakery in CO. On par with the quality you can find in NYC / LA. The king eggs are worth every penny. The crackers are surprisingly delicious?! But everything is top notch excellent.

Family owned, chef used to cook for the Dalai Lama. Everything can be made vegan (using soy or coconut), GF. Homemade chai is superb and can be made decaf, no dairy, no sugar.... Fireplace is lovely in the winter!

Ok this place looks super cheesy country kitchen. People love this place for breakfast - I think the breakfasts are totally meh. BUT I do think they have one of the best veggie burgers on the front range! And their huckleberry peach pie is pretty outstanding. And sweet potato fries are never regrettable. And a huge selection of excellent teas. And, locally owned. Fireplace is nice too :)

Entertainment & Activities

This isn't in Louisville but the drive to Ned is lovely and the town is cute and the story behind this carousel (dude hand-restored every inch of the carousel over the course of 30yrs in honor of his buddies who died in Vietnam and then the town of Nederland raised $ to build a structure for it) is really amazing. And it's $1/ride. And just cool

Arts & Culture

It's super beautiful and unique. Go just to run the stairs, walk around the park, see the small museum. Splurge on tickets to a concert. Or, my favorite entertainment in CO is their Film on the Rocks - super affordable, includes a few openings bands/acts, bring friends and a picnic (check the website for items that you cannot bring in! they are strict!), watch classic movies with thousands of people reacting and shouting lines and warnings with you!

It's a restaurant (owned by the same people who own the Huckleberry) but I have only ever eaten poor to barely mediocre, overpriced foods there so I don't recommend that. Teas are great. Go to see the building, especially the ceiling, and read about the city exchange program that landed this beautiful work of art in our 'hood.
