Held at Palm Beach Currumbin High from 6 – 11.30 am, these markets are a little larger and busier than the Thursday markets. They have great produce, meat, seafood, flowers etc. Highlights include: • The avocado from the guy at the front entrance (never a dud!) • Curried Panko Potatoes (SO ADDICTIVE) • Tallogum Blueberries (supermarket bluebs pale in comparison)

This market has more of a focus on Makers rather than produce. They operate the first and third Sunday each month from 8.30 am– 1 pm. A great trip if you want to take home a cute piece of art or pottery from your trip.

Like Reboundland, this is the place to be if it’s raining! It’s suited to kids of all ages, but for older kids / teenagers this would be my pick over Reboundland, it’s got a ninja style obstacle course so a little more challenging!

What would a list about Gold Coast activities be without the theme parks! We’re about 30 minutes away from Seaworld, Movie World, Wet N Wild and Dream World. Seaworld is our top pic for younger kids, but they’re all worth a visit! Where possible, we recommend attempting to visit on the weekdays as they do get very busy, even outside of school holidays.

One of those hidden gems you’ll always remember. In the back streets of the industrial estate sits this super cool brewery. They also stock boutique sodas for the non-drinkers, and if Meat Buns (a food truck) are on the tools order one of everything on the menu, you won’t regret it!

This one you typically need to book months if not years in advance, but it’s worth putting your name down on the waitlist for any cancellations. One of the most memorable meals we’ve had in years.
