Yes this is a gas station and minimart, but if you want fried Chicken this is where you buy it, they have all the fixins' too. 10 pieces for $10 bucks.

Another Gas station that sells food. To die for porkchop sandwich, fried chicken (almost as good as Reds). But if you want their signature sandwich you have to get there early for the Meatloaf sandwich. They only make so many and when the boys are leaving the county to go to work in Newport News or Williamsburg the meatloaf goes with them. Once they are sold out no more are made until the next day.

Great home cooking fare. Formerly a drugstore with a soda fountain. Fountain is still there and lots of old pictures from early days of Mathews. Food is priced on the affordable scale and very good with generous portions. Noted for the ice cream floats.

There is a pier that goes out into Mobjack Bay and offers views of New Point Comfort Lighthouse. There are information picture plaques on the pier that give you an idea of what the area was like in the middle 1800's to early 1900's. If you have a kayak, this is a great launch point to the Chesapeake Bay
