Santa Teresa National Park consists of a number of beaches and woodland areas looked after by the military. Great for walks, picnics, bike rides, BBQs, etc. Popular for camping in the summer.

The Black Lagoon (Laguna Negra) is one of my favourite places to come and watch the sunset... beautiful! It is also a great place to come when beaches are busy or windy in the height of the summer.

Cerro Verde (Green Hill) makes for a great hike, either starting from La Moza Beach in Santa Teresa or the hanging rope bridge in La Coronilla. It makes the perfect place for a picnic and nature.

This is the place to try the local EMPANADAS (fish and cheese is my favourite! Or go for traditional meat / cheese and ham combos) and BUÑUELOS DE ALGAS (fried seaweed balls). A must with a cold beer!
