El Pinto is probably the number one spot recommended to tourists. For a reason though - the restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, great margaritas, and good food (try the red chile ribs).

Frontier is another iconic Albuquerque restaurant. It's directly across from the University and has some amazing food. They're open all day but most people go for breakfast. I love their cinnamon rolls!

While expensive, Hotel Chaco has THE BEST views of the city. You can go up to the top of the hotel, order a drink, and gawk at the watermelon-colored Sandias at sunset. Plus, it's in the Old Town area, so, after a day of walking around Old Town, you can relax with the beautiful views.

Sightseeing

The Tram is one of the must-see activities in Albuquerque. It used to be the longest in the world till someplace in China had to beat us out... Nevertheless, it's stunning views and the Santiago's restaurant at the bottom are perfect for date night or some solo time. There's a trail head near the base of the tram, so if you're up for a nice hard hike, it's beautiful!
