Such a great place. FREE. Hiking trails, marshlands, gators, tons of turtles to feed, canoe trips, birdwatching, and an interactive nature center. You can bring your dog on a leash for a hike, too. There is a park with picnic tables outside the arboretum, and it's a great place for picnics, too.

The park runs all along the bayou and runs into downtown. Super cool skate park on one end, and lots of room for running with your kids and dogs, pack a picnic and have a good time. Check out the Waugh Street Bridge and Bat colony, too - it's a sight to behold!
