Sightseeing

See one of the most GORGEOUS views of Lake Michigan from the 95th floor of the Hancock Building while avoiding the line and $$ of "the 360". To get a great table with a perfect view of the lake, get yourself up to the Signature Room by 4 or 4:30pm. Buy a cocktail each and sip slowly. In the summer you won't see many of the city lights unless you hang out for dinner or drink a few drinks, but in the winter, when the sun goes down early, you'll slowly see the lights of the city turn on. It's really a beautiful way to spend a couple hours. I've never eaten here, so I can't advise on the food menu.

Getting Around

METRA trains run between the "burbs" and the city. All of Chicagoland is connected via 3 systems: Metra, CTA and Pace. The Metra Train between Bensenville & downtown Chicago (The LOOP) is the Milwaukee West line. Although it's within walking distance, I'm always able to give a quick lift to/from the Metra. I provide this service free to my guests and it works out great, especially if it's really cold outside. The trains run about every hour (see the actual times on the schedule) and take about 25-30 mins. to reach Union Station in Downtown. Union Station is the last stop on this line. Buy a 10 ride pass to save money. https://www.metrarail.com/

Entertainment & Activities

Wrigley Field is known for its ivy-covered brick outfield wall, the unusual wind patterns off Lake Michigan, the iconic red marquee over the main entrance, the hand-turned scoreboard, its location in a primarily residential neighborhood with no parking lots and views from the rooftops behind the outfield, and for being the last Major League park to have lights installed for play after dark, in 1988. The oldest park in the National League, the current seating capacity is 42,495, it is the second-oldest in the majors, and the only remaining Federal League park.
