Getting Around

Dublin bikes are a great way to get around the city as there are many stands dotted around. If you’re a nervous cyclist, there is a safe bike lane along the other side of the canal. You can get a 3-day Dublin Bike pass for 5 euro. This can be paid for by credit card only at selected bike stations. There is also an app which shows you were there are available bikes/stands. The nearest station is Portobello (no. 43) which is a 5 minute walk

This is a great way to get along Dublin’s beautiful coastline from Howth to Greystones (other notable stops: Malahide, Portmarnack, Glasthule/Sandycove, Dun Laoghaire, Dalkey) but the stations are a little far from us. Grand Canal Dock is nearest station. It’s a 40 min walk, but a nice one along the canal.
