Parks & Nature

The lovely Parc Montsouris is only 5 minutes away but the Jardin du Luxembourg (aka 'Luco' in our Parisian jargon; 15min on foot) is my absolute fave, because of its totally central location (radiating from there on foot, you get to see so many of the most dazzling, adorable, essential landmarks and shops and monuments) and because so many things happen at the same time in there : tourists touristing, children playing and going to the marionnette theatre, students lounging in the sun and reading, people jogging, playing tennis, pétanque, and chess...

Getting Around

It's 7min away on foot and from there you can not only get on métro 4 or 6, but also get directly both to the Orly airport (25min with the Orlybus, about the same with the RER B southbound) and to Roissy Charles de Gaulle (45min on the RER B northbound). When you take the RER, as you wait on the platform, always check that the station where you wanna to go is lit on the electronic boards. It means the train will be stopping there.

For the métro (the very useful line 4) and the bus (38 and 68 and N14 nightbus - also very useful).
