This castle in Frýdlant is as time stood still the tour takes some time and perhaps a little long for small kids. But well worth a look inside beautiful rooms it has been very well preserved dating back to the 13th century and before. You can walk around the castle park and visit the town of Frydlant which is very nice and boasts some lovely bohemian cafes like Cafe Jazzova. which often has various entertainment jazz etc. Great inhouse cakes!

Mausoleum of Robert Karl von Lachmann-Falkenau. The most beautiful and tragic sculpture. Made in honour of their only son lying in the care of an angel. At 23, he died on August 16, 1870 in the Battle of Mars la Tour , during the Prussian-French War, serving as a lieutenant in the 16th Schleswig-Holstein Hussars Regiment of the Royal Prussian Army. Sadly this most moving image of love and death has been vandalised. However it is worth a visit the palace sits accross the road. The structure of the Mausoleum is amazing.

Great Nature Park many animals to see including Lynx and Red Panda. Coffee tea and small restaurant. Excellent for families. A great place to visit a must do when you are here.

Wow this place is amazing. Unique glass houses with plants from different parts of the world including Australia :) A must visit and right next door you have the Zoo! a great day out in Czechia and only 35 40mins away.

Don't forget to go skiing not far only 40ks or so. An easy day trip for the family of course this are in the mountains is gorgeous for hiking in the summer. It's not too expensive a great activity if you are staying with us in winter time.

Beautiful Park in Zgorzelec on the Polish side a pond with swans and ducks, Great natural play area for the kids. Miejski Dom Kultury Building is lovely many walking trails the park is very peacful. You can also play basket ball on the courts.

There are better photos you will find but there is a lovely cycle walking path along the Neisse River on the Polish side they are making it better and better. Buy and ice cream in summer and head down there for an afternoon stroll. Maybe stop along the old town part of Zgorzelec because the outdoor dining there beside the river is very nice.

This is a very interesting Zoo not your average it is very good for families set in a nice natural ennvironment. There are also beautiful Czech historic Villas to see along the way. We recommend.
