Rated as one of the top ten beaches in UK. Rhossili is a wild , majestic beach. Less intimate than Three Cliffs but more easily accessible. Drive to Rhossili National Trust car park. A 20 minute easy walk to the headland. For more adventurous scramble over to Worms Head.... but check tides and your timing. Do not get cut off! Circular walk along cliff top towards Llangenith and drop down to beach . On way back note the skeleton of boat shipwrecked on the beach. In Summer 2018 The National Trust planted fields of Sun flowers. Featured on 9 o’’clock news and became major tourist attraction. Unfortunately no sunflowers or spectacular lavender this year due to COVID. A local farmer did plant one small field which should be flowering by August.

A little wilder than Langland. When the tide is out you have tremendous feeling of space. Can he t a little cramped when it’s high tide. Toilets and baby changing but you access them by crossing road to front of car park. Surf side cafe and ice cream shops.

A great family friendly, golden sand beach. This is where the locals go. Facilities include toilets, baby changing and beach showers The coastal path takes you to Caswell - look out for the seals. The most built up of the Gower beaches, but not in a tacky way . The curve of the bay has beach huts lining the promenade , tennis courts behind and the Victorian Summer retreat of one of the industrial leaders has been converted into flats. There are two eateries either end of the beach . Both are fantastic but completely different. Dine out on the terrace of Langland Brasserie or put your feet up, relax and sip a coffee while watching the children play at the Surfside Cafe. Absolutely love getting in an early swim and finishing off with a coffee and newspaper at the Surfside Cafe ......heaven !

Check out your low tide timetable. Scramble over the rocks to the worm - challenging but well worth the effort. Children 8 and above will really enjoy this adventure and as a family unit you will feel you have achieved something. NB be aware the tide comes in and you have to return in time not to get trapped!

A Park catering more for the young child under 8 years of age. In Summer might have a bouncy castle. Also has a crazy golf park at the top end. One of my six year old guests absolutely loved this place! The beauty of this park is that it’s on the promenade. With a young family my ideal day would be....a scooter/bike ride , a quick diversion into shops or cafe, followed by energy release in park. Finally an ice cream treat/ light lunch at Verdi’s or at the pier.

It’s s water park with slides a beach front, a wave simulator , a whirlpool and a lazy river. For little ones there is a small slide with its own interactive area with tipping buckets. Beach front dining at the top end of Langland Bay. A restaurant, bar and sun terrace make this place one of the top venues in Mumbles. A good restaurant specialising in locally sourced food. A cafe serving a wide selection of coffees and cakes! My personal favourite is to eat out on the terrace and enjoy a bottle of Prosecco with friends. Dining out on moules mariniere, and a good bottle of wine you could be transported to another part of the world ...... you decide.
