By far our guests top rated and enjoyed restaurant in the area. It's a friendly neighborhood eatery hosted by Rudy and Able with their third brother cooking delicious fresh Italian dishes. Wonderful place. Try the homemade lasagna. Ask for the waiter Vinny's section if you like a flirt. Ben Stiller ate here everyday while filming a movie in the area. Al Pacino, Robert Deniro and Joe Pesce ate here too! Together! Very special. 3 miles from the house.

A mix of Latin tastes with a fusion kick, Union is a wonderful place. The food and cocktails are made to perfection, all overseen by nationally renowned executive chef and owner David Martinez. Haverstraw is an old river town and was where Benedict Arnold plotted his treasonous act of handing over West Point to King George. If you want something more kid friendly and budget conscious head up the street to David's other restaurant called Noodles.

A 30 minute trip to Blooming Hill Farm is a real treat. On Saturday and Sunday you can have a breakfast flat bread made with eggs and the day's fresh veggies while sitting in the fields. Blooming Hill is known for their "black dirt" potatoes, purveyed and cooked at fine restaurants throughout Manhattan. In the fall you'll see quite a unique variety of them to take home. The owner buzzing around the property is named Guy. Don't be fooled by his dirt farmer appearance, he's a master agriculturist and Ivy League graduate.
