Avenue A is THE hot spot for NYC nightlife with plenty of restaurants, bars, and local coffee places; but step inside your home and it's quiet enough to hear a pin drop... I've tried it!

Iced coffee - It may seem like a chain, but there are only a handful of them here in NYC. Much better coffee than Starbucks. I'll often come here and spend my day working when I need an new environment!

Sightseeing

This is the first place I recommend going when you arrive in NYC. The views are AMAZING. If you have the opportunity, I would recommend timing your entry so that you are able to catch the sunset. This allows you to see the view from both the night and day. There is also a restaurant where you can dine. However, there is a cafe for those more budget conscious.

Arts & Culture

The museum opened in Spring of 2015 and is a modern work of art itself. I have spent afternoons strolling in and out with my friends, looking at art, and lounging in the outside decks. A must visit after a stroll along the High Line.

Parks & Nature

Great for people watching and taking a stroll. In NYC, we get very creative with the use of our space! According to Wikipedia: The High Line is a 1.45-mile-long New York City linear park built in Manhattan on an elevated section of a disused New York Central Railroad spur called the West Side Line.
