Join the pleasure revolution ! Versuz is a happening place, which welcomes 300,000 visitors each year. Extensive activities, ranging from nightlife, product launches, fashion shows and B2B events to concerts and congresses, mean that Versuz is not just a nightclub but also a Venue offering almost endless possibilities. The Venue – Versuz Versus : The Venu Since December 2013 we have been located in brand-new infrastructure. The various multi-purpose halls available each offer their own possibilities or can be combined to form one large area. Together they form a modern, flexible entertainment and events centre in Hasselt, with a total area of 5,800 m2. We rent out these areas for many different occasions and always look for the right solution to suit each individual customer. Versuz is at the cutting edge of modern technology, boasting the latest in sound, light and show effects. There are a total of 140 m2 of LED screens for video display. The technical costs are covered when you rent our location, and you automatically have the most up-to-date facilities at your fingertips.

Kelchterhoef Lake

The name Kelchterhoef is an amalgamation of 'Calechtre' (the name of the wood) and 'hova' (Old Dutch for farm). Kelchterhoef has existed since the 13th century, when the Norbertines of Floreffe still controlled the area. Today Kelchterhoef is a wonderful family-friendly walking park located in the centre of de Wijers. Here you can walk and cycle, enjoy the tremendous nature or have a tasty snack in one of the restored farmsteads. Thanks to a whole range of adaptations and renovations, you are now able to enjoy the landscape to the fullest. Interested in water recreation? Then there is always the 'De Plas' recreation park with its 20 ha pond and a sandy beach with well-defined swimming area. Here you will find everything you need for a day trip full of swimming pleasure for all the family. Admission is free. Sailors, surfers and divers can go to the local sailing and surfing clubs.

Recharge your batteries in the Ten Haagdoorn nature reserve Entrance: Donderslagweg or Springstraat 3530 Houthalen-Helchteren This unique nature area of 800 ha with moorland, woods, inland dunes, ponds and moors is located alongside the Laambeek and on the Kempen plateau natuurreservaat Ten Haagdoorn In the reserve you can get a dose of healthy energy for hours in an unspoilt nature area. Perhaps along the way you will come across the flock of sheep: it supports nature management in the area. Schapen Ten Haagdoorn A map with marked walking paths is available from VVV-Toerisme Houthalen-Helchteren. The reserve can be accessed throughout the year from half an hour before sunrise to half an hour after sunset. Admission is free. Naturally you may not walk outside of the paths. Your dog is welcome too, but only on a lead so as not to chase the flock of sheep, not to disturb the wild animals and not to hinder other visitors. The Aquapolis water park of Park Molenheide offers a world full of surprises and fun. A magnificent swim'n play paradise for all ages with 4 large swimming pools. For infants and toddlers there is a kiddie pool with play equipment and firefighter gnomes. With a water temperature of 32°C, lots of water fun is guaranteed. For older children there are 4 spectacular slides and a subtropical swimming pool. Mum and dad can enjoy a few healthy laps in the 25m pool. As a bungalow guest you receive a daily pass to the subtropical swimming pool at the time of booking. In the swimming paradise you have free WiFi access. The swimming paradise is open daily. Castle Brewery Ter Dolen

The current castle Ter Dolen (De Dool) in Helchtern dates back to the 16th Century, but its history dates back much earlier. During the middle ages, the estate served as the summer residence, and later, refuge, for the abbots of the Abbey of Sint-Truiden. Its first recorded mention even goes back as far as 1282. Guided tours to the castle brewery take place every Saturday, Sunday and holiday, at 3PM. During 45 minutes, you are introduced to the secrets of brewing and the history of our castle, De Dool, in a lighthearted manner. Tickets cost €7 per person, and include a beverage after the tour. You will receive a confirmation e-mail.
