One of the best Mexican Restaurants on the Island. Nice portions, great food. Parking can be a bit tough ... but it is a conservative 3 minute walk from my house.

I recommend their little hole in the wall sushi restaurant. They have one of the best Omakase (chef's choice) on the island. Definitely a great place to go if you're craving a sushi fix. Sushi restaurant is small and reservations are recommended. Website info is http://www.natsunoya.com

Mitsuba is an old school okazuya / delicatessen that's been around for ages. Good for early breakfast and lunch at a reasonable price. Very convenient location with parking. This is not a restaurant ... traditional local/japanese foods are served in bowls until sold out. The draw is the secret family recipes and tastes ... Mitsuba is known for their Okinawan sweet potato manju.

If you love Korean food or Yakiniku (all you can eat Korean BBQ) for a reasonable price. This is my favorite hole in the wall Korean restaurant. I'm addicted to their Kalbi Kimchi Chigae (pot stew).

Nice higher end restaurant right on the pier. Air conditioned with a beautiful view of the pier. If you go later in the evening they open the windows and there is just a beautiful view - they are located on the second floor above Nico's.

If your craving a good local smoked meat this place is great. I love their spicy pork w/ fried rice. Good portions and yummy. Located a street down from Alicia's Market.

If you're interested in Hawaiian history. It's located right across the street from the Supreme Court building and also across the street to the Hawaii State Art Museum. The Royal Hawaiian Band plays a free concert every Friday at about lunch time on the lawn.
