Food Scene

Best breakfast in town, with large yummy mimosas. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week(I believe) through out the summer. Cute spot run by locals with a great view and nice outdoor sitting in the back. It is small so it's not the best for parties over six and if they're busy (which is likely) they might not even be able to sit six people. It's a 5 min walk from Cape Escape and definitely worth a stop.

Great costal local food, The chef makes a point to source ingredients locally. The seafood is great but I have to say the wings here are also a must have. The bar is also very good here, my favorite in town! Like most things in oceanside it closes at 10 though. Prices are fair but a bit more then other places on the coast but worth the price especially considering the ingredients. They don't do dinner and can get very busy in the summer.

Seriously. Best. Doughnuts. Ever!...ever. This quaint bakery is a Garibaldi staple. It is to be noted that it the bakery is completely run by an older couple and is closed random days due to health issues. Their regular schedule is closed Sun, Mon and Tues. They are totally worth the 25min drive. But if you're only going to Garibaldi for doughnuts, Id give them a call ahead of time to make sure they're open. They are cash only, but super cheap.

This place is absolutely adorable! Not to mention it's the best breakfast I've yet to have on the coast! It's downfall is that it is about a 40min drive from Oceanside, but the drive is along the coast and the food is worth it.

I try to go here every time I'm out at the coast. I love their burger, a lot. They also have excellent Mexican food and on the weekend is the place to be for brunch and bloody marys. It's in pacific city so it's about a 40min drive from Oceanside, but again this drive is through beautiful coastline and classic farmland with great photo opts.

Great free tour ,although it is being remodeled till the end of summer , still they have opened a temporary tour with cheese tasting also the ice cream parlor. Good for kids and adults. Being it is one of Oregon biggest exports and itself gets 3 million visitors a year , I have to mention it. Great place to pick up ice cream flavors in the gift shop or the ice cream parlor and cheeses you don't often see in the stores.

Drinks & Nightlife

Good food and great beer. This location has a smaller menu then the restaurant in Pacific City, but the beer selection is all the same. Worth grabbing a pint and food, maybe a growler to go.

This is a secret spot for most beer enthusiasts, and hard to even hear about since they don't distribute. Well secret's out, if you're a beer drinker you can't miss this stop. Small batch European style. Take some home with you because it's the only way you can get it.

Parks & Nature

Great 4 mile hike to the lookout point at Cape Lookout, or a 3.5 mile hike down to the secluded beach below. The lookout trail is more mild, not as much elevation gain. Where as the beach hike is all downhill and uphill. Both are totally awesome if you're looking for an outdoor adventure.

This is a not so well known beach, so you will see a lot less people here then at oceanside beach itself. There are some not so well marked parking spots right by radar rode, there might be a sign but sometime's locals also take it out. There is trail and a small hike down that will lead you to the beach.

Well I'm sure you will not be able to visit this one, but you will see it every day from your window. This national wildlife refuge was created in 1907 by Theodore Rosevelt. It was the first west of the Mississippi at that time. It houses, at times thousands of sea birds, hundreds of sea lions, and a handful of whales. At dusk during the spring and summer months you might see a black swirl above the rock. That swirl is puffins about to come home from a day of fishing. In the morning during the same spring you can hear sea lions calling from the small rocks in front. All through the summer we also have whale sitings right by the rocks.
