For over 60 years, the Megalong Valley Tearooms have served up delicious refreshments in a truly idyllic setting. Built in 1956, the Tearooms sits at the end of a lush rainforest drive, beneath the iconic escarpments of the upper Blue Mountains. From the 1930s on, up to 6 tearooms operated in the Megalong at one time – serving fresh local scones with homemade cream and jam to hikers, campers and sightseers. Grab a seat under the trees and watch local wildlife while you enjoy all day breakfast or lunch. Or, cosy up by the fire with a hot cup of tea and a slice of apple pie when it’s cold outside.

Shopping

Leura is renowned for its shops - you can spend an entire day browsing and buying. We love the petite unique shops with unusual and elegant products. Many have multiple rooms - they have been converted from turn-of-the century uses to present day Leura. All are unique and unlike the typical 'retailers of sameness.' The shops we highlight here are at the core of why we all visit Leura. Check out the village map for locations.
