The beautiful Botanical Gardens with its renowned, 3.8km running track around the perimeter has something for everyone. Beautiful and diverse gardens including a dedicated children's garden, excellent cafes or somewhere quiet to relax. Its also a great way to get to the Shrine of Remembrance with one of the best, uninterrupted views of Melbourne's CBD.

The beautiful Botanical Gardens with its renowned, 3.8km running track around the perimeter has something for everyone. Beautiful and diverse gardens including a dedicated children's garden, excellent cafes or somewhere quiet to relax. Its also a great way to get to the Shrine of Remembrance with one of the best, uninterrupted views of Melbourne's CBD.

An easy walk or a quick ride in on the No 48 or 75 Trams. I love this place with its incredible sharing plates and excellent wine list. Top pick, slow roasted lamb shoulder.

If you love food, you cannot come to Melbourne without trying Vietnamese Pho. A beautifully hearty, yet thin and fragrant soup with sliced rare beef, rice noodles and fresh herbs. Victoria Street has so many amazing Vietnamese, Chinese and Korean restaurants to explore but this one really is a cut above the rest when it comes to Pho. For less than $10 a serve, you won’t be disappointed. The prawn spring rolls are also worth a try.

Running between every major city street is a network of laneways that are galleries filled with incredible street art. Some of my favourites are Croft Alley and AC/DC Lane. Just follow your nose for an adventure of a different kind.
