Decent Sushi, not expensive. One of the three or so ok Asian restaurants in the area. Although it is not a pretty location from the outside, it's quite nice inside.

Parks & Nature
OK it's a very small park but it's very close - less than 15min by car. You can swim, paddle and sail here. And the lake is almost 8 miles long. While it never gets crowded anywhere in Bangor, this is a place that some people find too plebeian. I still enjoy it.

You can hike here from Bar Harbor at low tide. Crowded of course but still fun, especially with kids, since it's a short and easy walk. Just remember to turn around on time...

Orono Bog Walk - Very interesting boardwalk (stroller friendly) that leads through lush boreal swamp into a unreal landscape full of dwarf tree islands in the Orono bog. Bring bug spray.

Great mountain biking and trail running. Many miles of singletrack trails range from easy to challenging. You can find the best ones on trailfork.com and strava, I can also show you. You can also go running in the forest - one loop is 3.7 miles.
