Food Scene

The food here is wonderful and its not even a 5 minute walk from our house! Just follow the red pathway through the park and as soon as the park ends you can't miss it. You can try all of the typical Peruvian dishes made by the internationally renowned chef Gastón Acurio. I would recommend this place as a first-time introduction to Lima's food (as well as El Mercado restaurant). My favorite here is the "Lomo Saltado" (it is the absolute best in the town) but other great recommendations would also be "Ají de Gallina", "Ceviche", "Causa", and of course the very popular cocktail, "Pisco Sour".

Getting Around

This is probably one of the best ways to tour the city in a cheap, safe, fun and informational way! The Mirabús company offers rides on their red double-decker buses through all areas of the city. You can choose which route you would like to take depending on what you would like to see (Downtown, the Costa Verde, etc.) as well as the time of the day that you would like to hop on. All the buses leave from Kennedy Park in Miraflores.
