An amazing architectural gem in the middle of Palma next to Cine Ciutat, the beautiful movie theater. It houses stalls with wonderful, tasty tapas from around Spain and the world, including an excellent sushi stall, pizza stall and french pastry stall. Wine, Vermouth, Champagne (or Cava, the Spanish equivalent) plus beer including micro-brews are on offer as well. Communal high tables invite to sit and talk for hours. I like to combine it with a movie. On top it is family friendly and many Mallorquins and expats love to spend a night out at S'Escorxador.

One of my favorite places!

Even if you are not into churches, this one is amazing! It overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, it is built by the Crown of Aragon on the site of a mosque, next to the Royal Palace of Almudaina (and my favorite 'Capuccino' cafe). The sculpture garden with sculptures by Henry Moore and Alexander Calder is very enjoyable as well as the many shops and restaurants of the old town, el casco antiguo.

This is a beautiful natural beach, not crowded even in summer. Best part: you can bring your dog! The nature is breathtaking, pine trees, hiking trails, the beach, the sea and an amazing little light house overlooking the sea. It's beautiful.

Sierra de Tramuntana is UNESCO world heritage site and it is breathtaking. If you hike or take a road trip, it is amazing either way.

This is a museum dedicated to the work and art of Joan Miro. It comprises a main building exhibiting works donated by the artist, a library, a sculpture garden, Miró's studio Sert, and the Finca Son Boter.
Miró's mother and wife were from Majorca. He settled on the island in 1956. The studio Sert was designed for Miró by Josep Lluís Sert in the same year and was used by the artist until his death in 1983. In 1959 Miró bought the nearby Finca Son Boter which he also used as an atelier; his graffiti on the walls can still be seen.
It is definitely worth a visit and his art is very much part of the spirit and soul of Mallorca.
