My sister hiked this trail and raved about it.
Our 1st guests enjoyed this trail. They said there is a spot to swim at the bottom of the falls.

This is a great park. Drive all the way to the back and pay $1 to go to the shaded playground and fun in the creek!

This is just a few miles across the parkway from us. It has a small playground and a great stroller path. The path winds next to a creek and eventually comes to a waterfall. This trail will lead you to the bigger Steele Creek Park. It is a long walk from one park to the other. There are also hiking trails off of the main path for adults and older children not in a stroller. We enjoy biking the path from Rooster Front to Steele Creek in the warmer months.

We love this dinosaur park! My kids are raving fans. It is free, but leaving a donation is much appreciated. The owner has handcrafted the dinosaurs and has created a fun educational experience.

My husband and I rode the Creeper Trail a few years ago. It is amazing! I highly recommend this outing. You will need to reserve a bicycle from a local shop and dress in layers depending on the time of year and your start time. Do a quick google search for bicycle rentals for the creeper trail. You can also reserve tag along bikes and bike trailers for children or animals to come along for the ride.

This is a short hike from the road. It is beautiful. I would not recommend this for families with young kids. There are many places to slip from high up. The views are absolutely stunning.
