The nearest S-bahn train station connecting to the Berlin U-bahn underground lines, mainline train stations and also to Schoenefeld Airport.
A typical journey would be a short drive or a 25 min walk to Eichwalde to get the S46 train. Trains arrive about every 20 mins. The S-bahn journey is less than 30 mins. Change to the U-bahn system at Tempelhof or other stations for central Berlin destinations. A single ticket costs €3.40.

Schmöckwitz is a small town near Schulzendorf which has easy access to several lakes associated with the Spree river and can be good for boating. There are nice walks and forest trails.

Good for sailing and canoeing. There is excellent walking and mushroom hunting in the surrounding forests. A good restaurant at the water's edge is Strandlust near Smöckwitz.
