Stunning countryside and villages to see from the river. We went with the whole family - packed a lunch and had a great day.

Amazing pool complex - great for winter day or summer day out. There are plenty of pools for everyone- fountains- river current area- olympic pool and kid's area. In the summer it opens up for an outdoor wave pool and lazy river. Careful - if you bring kids you may never leave!!

Visit the old town - shopping and many great restaurants
Look for the Chateau de Rochefoucauld. Wonderful current day castle. There are dressing up clothes on the top floor and if you want to get in the spirit - the kids (and you) can dress up like nobility to take the tour. We met the Duchess herself and she encouraged us to dress up with our American cousins - it was a total laugh. Recommend it! It wasn't remotely crowded. Afterwards wander into town and find a nice lunch in the many restaurants.

Interactive tour- little boat trip across the river as part of the tour. It is an excellent introduction to the life of Cognac production.
