Great small local store with a great selection of hard to find American and Mexican items. Great meats. They even will cook them for you on the weekends. They have a good selection from Costco MX as well. If you can’t find something you need, this is the place. Oh, and they sell things like batteries, etc at the front desk.

Guaymas is not really a touristy area, so you can go to the Mercado and be in the midst of it. All sorts of shopping...produce, trinkets, Vampiros (carrot juice with a bit of beet...freshly made, some curios. Walk around the stalls and then go out to the south and walk up and down those streets. you're perfectly safe, but beware of holes in the sidewalks and air conditioners sticking out at head level. The locals will be more than helpful. check out the candy stores on either side of the street, a place that sells all sorts of seeds and nuts, and fresh fruit from vendors on the street.

Que faut-il apporter?

Dressing for our weather and our town.

We are very casual here. Even the nicest dining normally allows dress shorts and a button down shirt. Rarely will you see a tie. Even at the gringo churches the attire is casual. Summers are HOT...thankfully, almost everywhere has air-conditioning. Plan on comfortable loose clothing and comfortable sandals. Winter is much cooler, sometimes a bit cold. Normal is probably 50-60* and sometimes 40’s during the night. So, women may need a wrap and men a light jacket. I often wear a lightweight jacket during the winter, but my husband rarely does.
