Their breakfasts and lunch options are spot on and good for the whole family! Friendly staff. Open 24/7 Fridays and Saturdays. You can walk there. It does get busy on the weekend mornings, so plan to get there early.

Unique, Lebanese-inspired brunch. This breakfast/brunch spot is a short drive away from our Airbnb and is excellent, consistent, and a "different" experience from your standard American breakfast. The food is consistently good and filling, the fresh-squeezed OJ always tastes amazing after a long night out, and the place has an airy, bright vibe. It does get busy on the weekends, so get there a little early.

This corner spot is clean and cozy, a short walk through Benton Park from our Airbnb, and an ideal place to grab a coffee and a pastry - you must try their version of buttery and delicious Pop-Tarts! It's a feel-good place, which uses locally sourced ingredients and recyclable materials. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. It's an all-around pleasant experience and the scones will keep you coming back.

Drinks & Nightlife

This is one of the most unique spots and hidden gems you can find in our neighborhood and in all of St. Louis. The entire bar and patio is a work of art with extensive mosaics, art pieces, eclectic decorations, and a fun, laid-back cozy vibe. You have to see it to believe it. If it's May-September, be sure to check out happy hour on the patio. Bring cash to get in while bands are playing on the weekends.

This is my personal favorite bar in all of St. Louis. It's local, has an amazing cocktail program, and an intimate vibe. A MUST for a pre-dinner date night or an early nightcap. Sitting at the bar is highly recommended, due to the excellent service and view of the creation of the spectacular and delicious cocktails. Say hi to Terry and Drew, enjoy the warm evenings when the doors to the bar area are thrown open, and sling back some truly top-notch cocktails that are absolutely spot-on.

Parks & Nature

We can't speak highly enough of the Botanical Garden for the nature lover. It is so enjoyable to wander their many themed gardens. There is a pretty extensive play area for the kids too and a small cafe on the property. If you are at all interested in going, be sure to check their website ahead of time to see if there are any festivals or night exhibits going on. Though those cost more admission to get in, they are always amazing and worth it.

This is the classic, not-too-far-away-from-civilization park with some light hiking trails and breathtaking views of the Meramec River. Lots of grill and picnic areas for families and access to a "beach" of sorts on the banks of the river. It's nice for a jaunt outside of the city without having to make a long haul to the rural areas of Missouri.

Arts & Culture

This is THE place to go in beautiful Forest Park to check out art - for free! Located on Art Hill, in a beautiful and sprawling building, you can surely get lost in here for hours. Highly recommend. An especially good way to kill time when the weather is dreary.
