Benefit street is one of the oldest and most historic streets in Providence, and it's just a block away. Most of the homes are small and historic, ranging from the mid 1700-1800s. There are also a number of larger mansions, Brown and RISD owned buildings, and house museums with free admission.

College Arts Building
“The RISD Museum is a great place to spend a few hours or to wander around all day. There are tons of interesting exhibits to explore. My personal favorite is the Charles Pendelton House (which is built directly into the museum). Admission is free on Sundays; the rest of the week is $15 for adults & free for youth (>18). Fun fact - it's the 20th largest art museum in the United States.”

Pâtisserie
“Pastiche is the go-to after-dinner dessert spot in Providence. The location itself is very small (and line often goes down the street). They have delicious fruit tarts, cakes, chocolates and pastries. If you’re lucky enough to snag a table, grab some tea or coffee, a delicious dessert and enjoy their cozy European atmosphere.”
