The Georgia International Horse Park is an iconic venue that was first opened in September of 1995. Having hosted the the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games, the venue has also hosted the first mountain bike competition. The park hosts two annual events; the Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival and the Big Haynes Creek Wildlife festival. Catering to other gatherings, the park also holds a stadium, a few arenas and pavilions and other event venues. The park also has a number of hiking and biking trails. The Georgia International Horse Park hosts a variety of events, including horse shows, festivals, rodeos, dog shows, concerts, banquets, picnics, etc.

The Park offers a variety of experiences to explore a number of recreational experiences. If you enjoy trails, both our horse and mountain bike trails promise to delight! If trail riding is not your thing, visit the Big Haynes Creek Nature Center and relax in nature. If you are up for a game of golf, please visit Cherokee Run Golf Course and play our Arnold Palmer course. The Park also prides itself in our Arboretum which is an extension of the Rockdale County Master Gardeners. Enjoy the tranquility, the dedications of those gone and you may even be fortunate enough to meet one of the club's members. The North Georgia Live Steamers offers a live locomotive train experience. View our calendar of events to see dates and times. Last, but not least, geocaching is still active within the Park. An excellent family outing for minimal costs. Enjoy!
