Freshwater West beach is literally on our doorstep and only a 5 minute drive or 15 minute bike ride away. It has been used as the backdrop for many famous films such as Dunkirk, Robin Hood and Harry Potter. Although the shell house from Harry Potter has now been dismantled, Dobie's Grave definitely…

Great place for surfers and a great food truck with local ingredients.

Fresh West is a large, wild and remote beach. If there is no surf here then there is no surf in Wales. A soft sandy beach backed by large sand dunes. Parking can be limited in summer as it is a popular beach. There are loos and a really good street food van. Freshwater West 40 mins from Sutton

“Barafundle Bay is a lovely Beach that you can walk to from the Beach House via the costal path to Stackpole Quay and on to Barafundle Bay. The first part of the walk is steep and hilly. An option is to drive to Stackpole Quay and then walk across headlands to the beach. This is doable with children.”

“A quaint harbour, Porthgain has the industrial remnants of the quarry operation in the area. Ships would be loaded here with slate and stone for transport around the country. It is worth an explore and is a good starting point for coastal walks. The Sloop offers good pub food and is worth a look to see the old photos of what the harbour was like in its hey day. The Shed is also a good restaurant and does great fish and chips for eating inn or take away. There are also a couple of art galleries. 25 mins from Sutton”
