With the north bay islands, the ross island is also a must visit place as it was the island where britishness had accommodated themselves to take a control over the islands and the prisoners as head quarters... Buildings have become dilapidated post Japanese bombarding yet a good heritage place to visit the remains and history of our islands

Ross Island (now renamed to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island) is about 2 km east of Port Blair the capital city of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It is an island where no settlement is allowed but the historic ruins make it a must visit tourist attraction.

Ross Island is truly an Historic beauty of our islands. It used to be the headquarters of the British colony and it holds the ruins of the few of the prominent houses and landmarks of the British era.
