Open to the public as a colonial restaurant, the Dobbin House is Gettysburg's oldest, most historic home. If you're a tourist, this is a must eat!

Parking can sometimes be difficult and wait times can be 45 minutes. You will want to eat in the downstairs (basement). The decor is great, it looks like you are eating in a civil war era tavern. As long as you don't come here hungry it's worth the wait. Dobbin House has the best French onion soup. I usually get that and a roast beef sandwich.

This is my husband and I,'s favorite place to eat in Gettysburg. You may need reservations for the upstairs dinning rooms. The cellar is our favorite place to eat!
