Aside from the obvious beautiful beach, if you park in field 5 you can walk to the Fire Island Lighthouse. It’s about 2 miles total, one mile each way. An amazing way to spend a day or evening!

Very clean beach, never too crowded. A little longer commute, but worth it. One part is nude at the very end, the rest is family friendly. Google for directions.

beautiful sandy beach. 2 beautiful long bridge connects long island to the fire island . plenty places to visit. good for all seasons

Its more quiet and less of a crowded beach. Typically a short walking distance from the car to the water
